We invite you to participate in the XIII Annual International Student Conference, 1.04.2021

On 1st Аpril 2021, the Kazakh-German University holds the XIII Annual International Scientific Student Conference «Contemporary Global Trends: Challenges and Risks for Central Asia». The conference aims to bring together undergraduate and graduate students from across Central Asia to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of global development and its impact on Central Asia.

The development of modern societies is driven by the process of large-scale changes and new global challenges associated with geopolitical, financial, and energy instability, as well as food, environmental, and information security, and the competition in research and technologies. How do these changes impact the countries of Central Asia? To what extent does current economic and socio-political situation in Central Asian countries provide for a dynamic and sustainable development of these countries in medium term? How the development strategies of these countries should look like during the competition of global and regional centers of power? What development opportunities and prospects do Central Asian countries have in face of the existing reality? All these will be discussed during the conference.

The conference will be held in five sections:

Section 1 Transformation of International Relations in the XXI century

Section 2 Current problems of Modern Economy and Business

Section 3 Transformation of Logistics, Energy and Environmental trends amidst the pandemic

Section 4 IT trends and their Impact on the Future

Section 5 Digitalization of the Education amidst the pandemic: Issues and Perspectives

Venue: Kazakh-German University, Nazarbayev avenue 173, Almaty. Conference will be held online (a link to the platform will be sent to the participants after processing applications for participation).

Conference opening: 10:00

Conference working languages: Kazakh, Russian, English, German.

We invite all interested undergraduate and graduate students to take part in the Conference!


APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Form of participation: personal attendance with presentation.

Participants: undergraduates, graduate students. Participation, presentation, and publication in conference proceedings are free of charge.

Application stages:

Stage 1 «Application and Abstract Submission»: the registration form and abstract should be submitted by March 1, 2021.

Stage 2 «Selection»: from March 01 to March 13, 2021. Criteria for selection: abstracts should meet the requirements concerning Conference’s subject, publication and objectives.

Stage 3 «Feedback»: from March 15 to March 25, 2021. Announcement of the selection results.


An abstract of 250−300 words should contain a brief summary of the research paper, including the goals for the research, hypothesis, methods, main findings and significance or implications of research findings.

Conference committee will select participants for each section. Selected papers will be presented at the conference and published in the Conference Proceedings (electronic version). All conference participants will be awarded certificates.

Registration: to participate in the conference, participants should submit completed registration form (Appendix I), including an abstract in the language of the presentation before March 1, 2021, indicating in the subject line the relevant conference section.

For publication selected authors should send their papers before March 25, 2021 to the responsible coordinator in each section (see below for contact details). Papers should meet the requirements specified below (Appendix II).
