Winners of the XI Republican student subject Olympiad in the specialty «Information systems»

According to the schedule of subject Olympiads approved by the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on April 20, 2019, the Kazakh-German University held the II stage of the XI Republican student subject Olympiad in the specialty 5B070300 — «Information systems».

The Republican Olympiad was held in 3 disciplines, the tasks of which were compiled in Kazakh, Russian and English:

• Databases in information systems

• Algorithms, data structures and programming

• Computer network

Assessment of the tasks by students was carried out for each discipline separately in points. Tasks for each subject were estimated at 100 points. The final grade was the average value of the results in the disciplines.

The winners were the following students who scored the biggest amount of points:

1 place Suleimen Deukishov, Karaganda state technical University (KSTU)

2 place Kanat Urazaliyev, International Kazakh-Turkish University named after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi

3 place Nikolai Ryabykin, Kokshetau University named after Abay Myrzakhmetov

It is worth noting that the Olympiad was held in computer classes and a new Laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering and Economic Sciences for educational programs «Telematics”, «Information engineering in Economics” and «Mobilecomputing”, funded by the DAAD project in the KGU «Stärkung der Kompetenz, Vernetzung und Sichtbarkeitder DKU”.
