UNDP provides financial support to entrepreneurs in implementing green projects

On February 13, 2020, a master class on the development of investment projects for improving energy efficiency and the development of renewable energy was held at the UN office in Almaty, organized by UNDP (UN Development Program) together with the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund JSC and UO «Kazakhstan-German University in Almaty».

The main purpose of the training was preparation of investment projects teaching in the field of energy conservation and renewable energy based on public-private partnership (PPP) mechanisms, ESCO contracts and trust management.

The training participants were representatives of local executive bodies, employees of companies implementing activities in the field of energy conservation and energy efficiency, RES development.

Representatives of the Kazakh-German University also took part in the training: Alexei Kobzev, project manager for renewable energy, and Sirotin Ernest, project assistant for renewable energy and business incubation.

Alexey Kobzev made a presentation «Green Financing for Business in Kazakhstan».
