The opening of the laboratories of KGU

February 15, 2019 the Kazakh-German University hosted an opening of the Laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering Economics for academic programs «Telematics”, «Information engineering in economics” and «Mobile Computing” and the Laboratory of the Faculty of Economics «Applied Research Laboratory”.

The opening of the laboratories was financed by DAAD project in the KGU «Stärkung der Kompetenz, Vernetzung und Sichtbarkeit der DKU”.

The head of technical direction Ms. Yelena Saveliyeva and lecturer Mr. Vyacheslav Kan presented aims of the Laboratory of the Faculty of engineering economics for academic programs «Telematics”, «Information engineering in economics” and «Mobile Computing” which are as follows:

• Carrying out practical, laboratory and research works, and practical experiments.
• Providing students maximum freedom in bringing changes to software, without disturbing software settings for other users, as well as connecting other devices, such as boards and circuits.
• Provision students with servers, server application and operational systems. Complete freedom in work with servers.
• Possibility to operational systems Windows 10 Pro and Ubuntu, as well as with platforms Arduiono and NetBeans.

Dean of the Faculty of Economics Ms. Assel Azhibaeva presented the Laboratory of the Faculty of economics «Applied Research Laboratory” and told about software and aims:

• Implementation of scientific application projects in the sphere of economy and social sciences by lecturers, MA and BA students;
• Creation of possibilities for talented youth to be included into scientific and research work of the university as early as possible.
• Integration of results of scientific work into academic process.
• Hosting scientific seminars, at which participants can share with intermediate results, summarize results of finished results, discuss themes prepared for publication, and organize discussions.
• Organization of trainings and workshop for students and all interested. For example, training seminars for the KGU employees to use Excel, Visio, MS-Project, 1С-Accounting, SAP and etc.

The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the project from the German side Professor Heinz-Peter Höller, head of the project from the Kazakh party the KGU rector Ms. Olga Moskovchenko, dean to the Faculty of engineering economics Mr. Zhandos Kegenbekov, as well as lecturers and employees of the university.

In the course of the event participants conducted active discussions of further work of laboratories and highly assessed the level of laboratories equipment.
