The KGU hosted the Russian bench press competitions

March 15, 2019, the Russian bench press competitions dedicated to Nauryz holiday were held in «Kazakhstan” sports complex.

1st year students, young men fought for the title of the KGU Champion in Russian bench press (lifting the bar from the position lying on a horizontal bench).

Competitors raised 35 kg bar as required by established rules. «Formula Athleticism” is calculated according to the rules: the weight of the bar is multiplied by the number of repetitions and divided by the weight of the athlete. This value is called the «Coefficient of Athleticism» (CA). All places are distributed according to the the highest «Coefficient of Athleticism» (CA):

• 1st place with a CA score (coefficient of strength) 27.1% took Ilya Piunovskiy, 1-year student of the Faculty of Engineering and Economic sciences, majoring in Energy and Environmental Engineering
• 2nd place with a CA score (coefficient of strength) 18.9% took Zangar Kambekov, 1-year student of the Faculty of Engineering and Economic sciences majoring in Information Engineering in Economics
• 3rd place with a CA score (coefficient of strength) 17.7% took Timur Kenzin, 1-year of the Faculty of Economic Sciences majoring in Marketing

The winners were awarded with medals and diplomas.
