Opening of the representative office of the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg in Almaty

THE KAZAKH-GERMAN UNIVERSITY HOSTED A SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO THE OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE KAZAKHSTAN OFFICE OF THE MARTIN LUTHER HALLE-WITTENBERG UNIVERSITY.

The conference was attended by representatives of the scientific community of Kazakhstan, the Consulate General of the Republic of Germany in Almaty, scientific and public funds, as well as ambassadors of leading universities of the country. The main topic of discussion was the challenges of the time in the educational sphere in the prism of promising directions of development of the higher education and science sector.

Mr. Christopher Conrad, Professor from Martin Luther University in Halle, as well as Ms. Barbara Janusz-Pavletta, Vice-rector for International Cooperation of the Kazakh-German University, made a welcoming speech on the occasion of the opening of the representative office. Barbara noted in her speech that international cooperation in the field of higher education allows to expand the boundaries of intercultural and interstate cooperation between Germany and Kazakhstan and, of course, has a beneficial effect on the development of the educational sector of our country. In turn, Serik Beymenbetov, the projector of the Kazakh-German University of Science made a report in which he noted that high educational standards in the education system guarantee the employment and demand of young professionals.

The conference program also widely covered the goals and objectives of the development of science on the basis of international cooperation and cooperation. In particular, Elena Shevchenko, Director of the Department of strategic planning and Analytics of the science Foundation in her speech highlighted the main directions of promoting international cooperation in the field of science and commercialization of scientific results.

At the end of the conference, the Director of the representative office of the University of Martin Luther in Almaty — Peter Libelt, thanked all those present for the active discussion and expressed hope for fruitful inter-University cooperation. According to him, the development of the scientific environment will allow the educational sector of Kazakhstan to meet high international standards and develop according to the trends of the time.
