  • scientists and professors of Kazakhstan's leading universities and research institutions: The Kazakh-German University, Kazakhstan Institute of Strategic Studies under the President of Kazakhstan, Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, Kazakh University of international relations and world languages named afrer Abylay Khan, Institute of philosophy, political science and religious studies of the Committee of science of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Center for Chinese studies «China Center”.

The relevance of this forum is determined by the ongoing changes in the modern system of international relations. The geopolitical landscape is becoming diverse and multipolar. At the same time, the factors of instability and uncertainty are increasing, the situation in the world economy continues to be unstable, the process of economic globalization is faced with the growth of unilateral protectionist measures, economic sanctions are beginning to develop into trade wars. The risks and threats associated with armed conflicts, manifestations of terrorism and religious extremism in various regions of the world, illegal drug trafficking and international organized crime are increasing.

In this regard, the importance of Eurasian projects that contribute to the development of global and regional economic integration, the formation of a community of common destiny of mankind is increasing. Special attention was paid to the state and prospects of the Belt and road Initiative with the Eurasian Economic Union and Kazakhstan's Nurly Zhol strategy, as well as issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in order to ensure regional security.

The participants of the forum expressed different points of view regarding the new realities and emerging conditions of economic, financial, industrial, transport and communication, scientific and educational cooperation of Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries with China within the framework of this initiative.

The participants of the conference expressed the hope that, despite the current global challenges, the growth of traditional and non-traditional threats, the Belt and road Initiative will be successful in the new geopolitical realities and will bring practical benefits to Kazakhstan and other countries located along the revived Silk Road.
