International conference «New social dimension in higher education mission»

October 30, 2019 Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Council of rectors of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, national office of Erasmus+ in Kazakhstan, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University with the support of M. Dulatov Kazakh Agrotechnical University organized and held the international conference «New social dimension in the mission of higher education» on the basis of Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

The international conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of health, labor and social protection, information and social development, the National chamber of entrepreneurs «Atameken», the Association of European universities, national and foreign experts in the field of higher education, the national office of Erasmus+ in Kazakhstan, higher education institutions of the country.

The key reports on the methodology and practice of the third mission of higher education — «New social dimension in the mission of higher education in a globalized world” (Lucien Bollaert), «Basis of effectiveness, inclusiveness and accountability of universities in society” (Enora Pruvot), «Formats of implementing the third mission of higher education institutions of Kazakhstan” (Adilet Toybaev), «The role of challenge in the formation of social and civic competences” (Alima Galimova), «Rating of Kazakhstan universities from the point of view of employers «Atameken” (Azamat Bisenbaev) were presented at the plenary part of the conference.

The national coordinator of the ProdLog project Zhandos Kegenbekov took part in the conference on behalf of the Kazakh-German University.
