In DKU held the XV International Conference «Transformations in Central Asia since 1991»

On April 23−26, the Kazakh-German University with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Kazakhstan held the XV International Conference «Transformations in Central Asia since 1991».

The first day of the conference was devoted to panel discussion with keynote speeches from Dr. Andrea Schmitz (Foundation for Science and Politics, Berlin), Dr. Azamat Junisbai (Pitzer College, USA), Dr. Dina Sharipova (KIMEP University / Nazarbaev University), Dr. Vadim Volovoj (Mykolas Romeris University, Vilnius), Thomas Helm (Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Kazakhstan), and Askar Sembin (TechGarden, Almaty).

On the second day, the conference comprised work in sessions with presentations of participants from Central Asia on various aspects related to transformation of education, society, politics, economy, and environment in Central Asia. On the final day of the conference, participants and guests had the opportunity to join a master-class on academic publishing held by Andrea Schmitz, Azamat Junisbai, Dina Sharipova, and Dr. Sebastian Mayer (Kazakh-German University).
