Applications for the competition of innovative solutions for the restoration of the Aral Sea region are open

We invite Central Asian and international NGOs, educational and research institutions, startups and innovators to participate.

Winners will receive awards, as well as the opportunity to complete training and participate in a mentoring program between February and June 2021.

The competition is aimed at attracting breakthrough innovative solutions that will be used to mitigate the negative consequences in the local ecosystems of the Aral Sea region (Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan).

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted in English until January 15, 2021 inclusive.

The project is implemented by the Kazakh-German University (DKU) in partnership with the Global Landscape Forum (GLF) and Plug and Play (P&P) with the support of the Water and energy program for Central Asia (CAWEP) under the leadership of the World Bank and funded by the European Union, Switzerland and the UK. The project is also part of the World Bank's Central Asian Sustainable Landscape Program RESILAND CA+.
