ECO-Talk 2018 Environmental Forum

We invite you for media coverage the ECO-Talk 2018 Environmental Forum which will be held on November 30 in Almaty at Bayzakov street, 280.
The ECO-Talk project is a platform that promotes young eco-innovators and eco-entrepreneurs to implement effective projects in the field of environment protection in Kazakhstan.
The ECO-Talk consists of two key activities: an incubator program and an environmental forum.
The incubator comprises a mentoring program which aims at improving and transforming the innovations into successful projects with potential business or social impact. The mentoring program includes specialists from different sectors and focuses on practical skills using innovative learning approaches.
The four selected projects for this 2018 ECO-Talk edition include the following:
- The «Belousie” project which produces curtains from recycled plastic billboards;
- The «FARMILY” project, developing vertical indoor farms in supermarkets;
- The EM Technology project, introducing biotechnologies to improve water sanitation processes;
- The «Hydrotoran” project, proposing an environmentally friendly and economically viable alternative to pumping irrigation.
These projects will be presented as part of the pitch session during the Forum. Students will have the opportunity to win a grant to further implement their projects. The forum will be attended by representatives of the public sector, NGOs, private companies, start-ups and other key stakeholders active in the environmental sphere. The event will also include a discussion panel on the theme «Technology for Ecology» moderated by Dosym Satpayev, Political Analyst, attended by key experts and influential representatives from the environment and the business sector.
The Discussion Panel will focus on solutions proposed to address environment challenges in Kazakhstan, looking at the transition to green economy, the on-going investments in green technologies and businesses as well as the existing platforms to support eco-innovations to achieve green growth.
