DKU held a Round table with 1st year students on the topic «Tug'an Zher»

As noted in his article «Looking to the future: Modernization of public consciousness» first President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev:

«Patriotism begins with love for your land, for your village, city, region, with love for your small homeland. A small homeland is a place where you were born and grew up, and sometimes lived your entire life. There are mountains, rivers, stories and myths about their origin, the names of people who remain in the memory of the people. You can continue the list. All this is important. A special attitude to the native land, its culture, customs and traditions is the most important feature of patriotism. This is the basis of the cultural and genetic code that makes any nation a nation, not a collection of individuals. For centuries, our ancestors protected specific places and areas, preserving millions of square kilometers of fertile land for us. They saved the future.»
