DKU conducted a series of visits at PASCH schools in Nur-Sultan, Bishkek and Tokmok

During November DKU conducted a series of visits at PASCH schools in Nur-Sultan, Bishkek and Tokmok, to inform graduating pupils on the main directions of DKU educational programs.

PASCH «School: Partner for the Future” is the initiative of the German Federal Foreign Office implemented in cooperation with the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA) and other agencies. The initiative brings together about 1800 schools around the world offering the German Language Certificate and/or qualified teaching in German as a Foreign Language. A significant part of such schools is located in Central Asian countries.

During the DKU visits, pupils underwent career-guidance test, which identified their strongest functions and abilities. Further, they performed interactive tasks representing each of the three DKU faculties.

School students learned the basics of budget planning by distributing the expenditures of a soon-to-be DKU 1st year student. Pupils with strong technical abilities conducted an energy audit of their home, the results of which helped them to calculate their «carbon footprint” and learn how to neutralize it. Students with enhanced social abilities reviewed a case on cooperation, where they had to resolve a conflict between several interested parties affected by the consequences of environmental accident on the river.

Following the results of the visits, pupils received subsequent information materials about the main admission deadlines and the activities of DKU, and the University in general.
