Competition for the study of the economic portrait of college and educational institutes graduates
Soros Foundation-Kazakhstan within the framework of the «Open economy” initiative announces a competition for the award of a grant for the study of socio-economic portrait of graduates of colleges and vocational schools.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
1. Create a socio-economic portrait of College and vocational school graduates (financial situation, social status, professional development).
2. To evaluate the effectiveness of formal and informal social elevators for сollege and vocational graduates (formal and informal channels of employment, development, education).
3. To evaluate the effectiveness of state support, development and employment of graduates of colleges and professional educational institutions (youth state programs, youth labor exchanges, centers for professional development and training).
4. To assess the competitiveness and relevance of secondary special education (colleges and vocational schools) in Kazakhstan.
5. To identify the problems faced by graduates of colleges and vocational schools in employment and professional development.
6. Make recommendations and proposals to promote the economic rights and opportunities of VET (Vocational and educational training) graduates.
7. To evaluate the effectiveness of commercial and public institutions for the support and development of youth and graduates of VET (business incubators, industrial internships).
8. To build cooperation among all stakeholders in the promotion of economic empowerment of technical and vocational education graduates.
PROCEDURE and REGULATIONS of the Contest
For participation in the competition interested persons must provide the following documents:
- completed application form in Word format•
- summary of the individual and/or key project performers, if the application is submitted by the organization
The applicant is also entitled to attach any other documents that may help in the evaluation of his/her project.
