UNFSS dialogue on approaches to promote the Water-Energy-Food relationship in Central Asia

We would like to share with you the materials of a significant event: an independent UNFSS regional dialogue was held online to discuss approaches to the Water-Energy-Food (VEP) relationship to achieve the transformation of food systems in Central Asia.

At the online event, experts noted that the implementation of the transformation of food systems is one of the most effective ways to develop progress in achieving all 17 SDG goals.

From the Kazakh-German University (DKU @dkukz https://www.instagram.com/dkukz/) Barbara Janusz-Pavletta, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of DKU, Doctor of Law, and Iskandar Abdullayev, MSc, PhD, DKU expert on water resources management, water management institutions, environmental activities, took an active part in the dialogue.

The event showed that there is a need for more dialogues that can contribute to the promotion of integrated approaches linking water and energy with food.

The decisions taken within the framework of the dialogue will be presented at the United Nations Food Systems Summit (UN-ATP) in September 2021.
