UN World Water Resources Development Report (WWDR 2021)

On March 22, 2021, the UN World Water Development Report (WWDR 2021), entitled «Water Assessment», will be presented on World Water Day.

The presentation of the report will take place at an online event organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in cooperation with UNESCO.

Water is the ultimate and irreplaceable resource. As the foundation of life, society, and the economy, it carries many values and benefits.

WWDR2021 includes
: — analysis of the current status and challenges of water assessment in different sectors and from different perspectives;
— identification of ways in which assessment can be used as a tool to help achieve global sustainable development.

The report is complemented by experiences from different regions of the world, the use of integrated and holistic approaches to governance and funding mechanisms, and perspectives on meeting knowledge, research and capacity needs.
