The seminar «New solutions for urban logistics» will be held on April 30, 2021

We invite you to take part in the seminar «New solutions for Urban logistics», organized by LogCentre (Logistics communication and transfer center) Kazakh-German University.

The event will take place on April 30 (Friday), 2021, at 15: 00−17 :00 (Moscow time). Nur-Sultan) and will be held in an online format on the ZOOM platform.

The speaker of the meeting will be Tom Assmann, Research Group lead at the University of Magdeburg. Tom is also an expert in urban logistics planning, new technologies for sustainable logistics, and a consultant on urban logistics projects.

The working language of the conference is English (simultaneous translation into Russian will be organised).

The workshop is part of a series of workshops aimed at promoting new sustainable urban logistics solutions focused on greater use of cargo bike and local logistics hubs.

Objectives of the seminars:

• Motivating stakeholders to use new approaches to building urban logistics systems.
• Exchange of knowledge about urban logistics solutions and planning principles.
• Demonstrate the feasibility of cargo bikes as an effective urban logistics solution and develop urban logistics proposals for a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan.

The series of seminars is divided into 2 stages.

• First stage: conducting online seminars on urban logistics, April-August 2021.
• The second stage: development of solutions for the use of cargo bike and master classes, autumn 2021.
