The international conference on «Disinformation and extremist attacks in social networks» was held at DKU

International conference of the GIZ regional program «Prevention of Violent Extremism in Central Asia» on the topic «Disinformation and extremist attacks in social networks — what protects society and the state?» It took place within the walls of the Kazakh-German University.

GIZ Country Director Mr. Joerg Pudelka, President of the Kazakh-German University Mr. Wolrad Rommel and Deputy Head of the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after M. Esbulatov Ms. Zhanat Dilbarkhanova delivered a welcoming speech.

The conference was attended by representatives of ministries, scientific and research institutes, as well as higher educational institutions for the training of specialists from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Germany.

During the meeting, the issues of cybersecurity, the implementation of measures to counter extremism on the Internet and so on were touched upon.
