The first Kazakhstan Republican contest of water projects

The International Miras School in Almaty and the Nursultan Nazarbayev Education Foundation, with the assistance of the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI)‑, are holding the FIRST KAZAKHSTAN REPUBLICAN COMPETITION FOR WATER PROJECTS

The Kazakh-German University is the official partner of the Competition.

The competition is held with the aim of developing and encouraging the scientific, technical and project activities of high school students in the field of sustainable water use, aimed at solving the problems of water treatment, water treatment and maintaining the biological diversity of water resources and is the national stage of the prestigious international competition Stockholm Junior Water Prize.

Stockholm Junior Water Prize is held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and since 1997 has been gathering thousands of participants from more than 30 countries every year.

Students of the senior classes of secondary schools, gymnasiums, lyceums aged from 14 to 18 years will take part in the Kazakhstan stage online. To date, almost 30 projects from 17 schools in various cities of Kazakhstan have been registered. Project presentations will be held from April 19 to 23.

The winners of the Competition will be determined by an independent, authoritative jury, which includes experts in the field of ecology, chemistry, physics, and biotechnology.

The best project will get the right to represent Kazakhstan in the Stockholm Junior Water Prize 2021 International Competition.
