The Renewable Energy Trip 2021 — round table, dedicated to the economic mechanisms to support the development of renewable energy in Kazakhsta

On October 4, 2021, the Renewable Energy Trip 2021 round table was held, dedicated to the economic mechanisms to support the development of renewable energy in Kazakhstan (the role of the state and international organizations).

It consisted of two main directions: a seminar and a trip to a solar power plant.

Objectives of the workshop: — to introduce the expedition participants to each other and to experts in the field of renewable energy from Kazakhstan.- to establish professional contacts, as well as to give an overview of the renewable energy sector in Kazakhstan, global trends and development prospects in the world;- to present the master's program of DKU «Strategic management of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency» — to provide and discuss information on mechanisms of economic support and financial regulation of the market by state and international organizations in Central Asia. Participants: — Bachelor's, master's and PhD students; - young specialists of specialized organizations/universities of Central Asia; - renewable energy specialists- representatives of state and international organizations, such as Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, USAID Power Central Asia Activity, Kazakhstan Solar Energy Association, Asian Development Bank in Central Asia, Freie Universität Berlin, Eclareon.

RE Trip 2021 will be held from October 4 to 10, where one of the main practices will be daily visits to various renewable energy facilities for better material development. The first destination was the Nurgisa SES in the Almaty region with a capacity of 100 MW.
