The Open Day «Get closer to Germany» has been held at DKU

Last Saturday, an open Day of the Kazakh-German University «Get closer to Germany» was held. The event was held in a combined format with an online broadcast on the official Facebook page.

The Open Day started with a brief announcement of the program and presentation of the university, which, as a moderator, was announced by Natalia Broslavskaya, Head of Internal and External Communications Department at DKU.

The welcoming speech was delivered by the President of DKU, Prof. Dr. Volrad Rommel, who in his speech noted that studying at DKU is guided by the model of German education and therefore the university strives to ensure that all students receive an academic professional education.

Next, our guests from Germany — foreign professors who read disciplines for DKU students — spoke on the program:

  • Sergey Velesco, Hochschule Mittweida, Faculty of Economics and Entrepreneurship
  • Stefan Dilfer, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies
  • Sebastian Mayer, Faculty of World Politics

Sergey Velesco prepared videos about the University of Applied Sciences Mittweid and Faculty of Economics & Business for the guests of the event.

In addition, DKU students who continue their studies in Germany within the framework of academic mobility and «Double Diploma» programs got in touch via the ZOOM live broadcast. The students shared their experience of studying at our partner universities, University of Applied Science Zittau/Görlitz and University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden, showed video tours of universities, and also answered questions from the guests of the event. We thank our students of the «Double Diploma» program who sent videos about partner universities: Diana Loshitsky, Alexandra Golubtsova, Anastasia Gorkova, Nigina Kasimova, Maxim Derbenko, Ekaterina Kadubinskaya, Alexey Kuybeda.

The videos will be available later. Stay tuned for our updates.

At the end of the meeting, the representative of the DKU students, the head of the Ambassadors club, Iskander Temirtas, made a speech. It is worth noting that the members of the DKU Ambassadors club support the organization of the event and actively advise our future students!
