TOMORROW WAS TOO LATE: a collective monograph on the key environmental problems of Kazakhstan

TOMORROW WAS TOO LATE.

This is the name of the published collective monograph-the result of a research project to write a collective monograph on the key environmental problems of Kazakhstan.

The project was implemented by the Private Fund of Dossym Satpayev in partnership with the Kazakh-German University with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Nur-Sultan and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Kazakhstan, as well as the online eco-magazine LIVEN' Living Asia.

The aim of the participants was to show a direct and indirect link between environmental threats and the risks of political and economic destabilization in the countries of the region.

The project organized webinars on key issues to discuss and develop recommendations for decision makers and NGOs to prevent or mitigate the consequences of these threats. The participants of the meetings were ecologists, demographers, economists and political scientists from Central Asian countries, as well as foreign experts.
