The CARGO BIKE project is aimed at promoting new sustainable solutions in urban logistics, focused on the active use of cargo bicycles and local logistics hubs in Kazakhstan. Thanks to the use of this type of transport, efficient and economical logistics concepts will become possible, in particular for the growing sphere of small cargo transportation.
At the event, you will get acquainted with information about various types of cargo bicycles and existing modifications necessary for using Cargo bike in the urban logistics system, the possibilities of their use on the example of practical cases of urban logistics of various megacities of the world.
The main speaker of the meeting will be Tom Assman, Head of the Logistics Transport Systems Research Group at the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg (OVGU). Tom is an expert in urban logistics planning and in the field of new technologies for sustainable logistics. He is currently a consultant in urban logistics projects in Germany.
In addition, the presentation provides for practical testing of a cargo bike delivered from Germany.
