The second event DKU meets business was held in DKU
On October 26, 2021, the second meeting with representatives of international and European companies in Kazakhstan «DKU meets business» was held at the Kazakh-German University.
This event is part of a series of meetings aimed at connecting students and graduates of our university with companies that could become employers for them. Such events are also necessary to introduce the parties to each other at an early stage of potential cooperation and to find out what skills and knowledge graduates will need to succeed in international arena.
It is important for Kazakh-German University to make timely conceptual changes and adapt our educational programs to meet the requirements of today's ever-changing economy. This is why we want to find out what skills and qualities are in demand in the labor market in order to provide our graduates with excellent starting positions.
We want DKU graduates to occupy key positions in the competition for prestigious jobs. On the other hand, it is important for us to communicate to companies what skills and knowledge DKU, as an academic institution, considers necessary for the intellectual development of young people to become responsible members of modern society.
The meeting started with welcome speech from Prof. Dr. Rommel Wolrad President of the DKU and Andrej Rommel Мanaging Director Liebherr Kazakhstan, who continued the event as a moderator. In their speeches, they noted that it is important for students to know and understand what foreign companies there are in Kazakhstan, what opportunities for career growth are, what it means to be a «manager”, «leader” and «partner”. In addition, Dr. Volrad Rommel shared his career history.
Further on the program the following participants and representatives of international companies briefly talked about their companies and their success stories, and answered questions from students, faculty, and stakeholders.
