On October 24, the opening ceremony of the XI DKU Spartakiad took place at the Densaulyk Sports Complex, which is held under the motto «We are together — we are united!».

Immediately after the welcoming words of our sports teachers and the university administration, basketball competitions started.

4 basketball teams entered the fight for the championship:

• Beastie boy

• No Chances

• Almaty Lakers

• Tate Anshylar

In the first game, the teams «Beastie boy» and «No Chances» met, the game ended with a score of 45:13. In the second game, the teams «Almaty Lakers» and «Tate Anshylar» entered the court, the game ended with a result of 7:34. In the finals this week, the teams «Beastie boy» and «Tate Anshylar» will meet.

In between the games, performances of the Cheerleaders of DKU team were organized, as well as a gymnastic number from the 1st year student Emilia Weibert.

It is worth recalling that the following competitions will take place this week:

• October 28 — swimming (crawl -50 m, crawl -25 m), boys and girls. Beginning at 16:30, IC «Kazakhstan».

• October 30 — basketball, semifinals and finals. Beginning at 15:30, IC «Densaulyk».
