Meet NEXUS National Consultant — Umidjon Ulugov

We would like to introduce you to Umidjon Ulugov, the national consultant of the NEXUS project.
Umidjon Ulugov, Candidate of Law, Expert on social and legal issues. He is fluent in Russian, Tajik, English and Uzbek. His track record includes the management of environmental and social projects, as well as the preparation of environmental and social impact assessment reports. He has extensive experience in environmental and social consulting in such sectors as waste management, cultural heritage, services, integrated infrastructure development projects.

Umijon also has more than 20 years of experience working on projects in the UNECE, UNEP, UNDP, OSCE, The World Bank, UN FAO, UNICEF, etc.

About the project: On December 2, 2021, the project «Training of Central Asian government Officials to promote the assessment of the relationship between water, energy, food and ecosystem resources» was launched at DKU.
The aim of the project is to improve the qualifications of government officials through training with the participation of regional experts in the field of natural resource management. This project is being implemented with the support of the USAID Regional Project on Water Resources and the Environment.
