The World’s Large Rivers Initiative (WLRI) was approved by the Intergovernmental Council of the Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (IHP) of UNESCO in 2014 and has been prolonged in 2018. The objective of this initiative is to extend this assessment to a larger number of rivers.

Hence, this meeting will discuss the next steps of the future implementation of this global assessment and is looking for researchers who are interested to be part of a network by representing their river/country.

The network will consist of scientists and researchers coming from different river basins and fields of research, including our beloved prof. Barbara Janusz-Pawletta, Vice-rector for international cooperation, @dkukz, in partnership with an expert in sustainability — Aleksandr Solntsev.
