DKU co-organized the VII international scientific conference IPICSE 2020

From 11 to 14 November 2020 the VII International Scientific Conference «Integration, Partnership and Innovation in Construction Science and Education» was held in an online format.

The conference was organized by the National Research Moscow State Construction University (NIU MGSU, Russia) and Tashkent Institute of engineers of irrigation and mechanization of agriculture (TIIAME, Uzbekistan) in cooperation with the German-Kazakh University (DKU, Kazakhstan), JSC «Uzbekgidroenergo» (Uzbekistan), Samarkand State Architectural-Construction Institute. Mirzo Ulugbek (Samgas, Uzbekistan), Karshi engineering-economic Institute (KIEI, Uzbekistan).

The program of the event included seven scientific and practical seminars on construction materials, reliability and safety of construction, engineering and «smart «technologies, modeling / mechanics of construction structures, construction management, hydraulic engineering, land reclamation, mechanization, electrification, agriculture and green energy.

On the opening day of the online conference, d.j.s. Barbara Janusz-Pavletta, Vice-rector for international cooperation at DKU gave a welcome speech. Dr. Janusz-Pavletta spoke about the University and DKU's educational programs, as well as current activities and projects. She stressed the importance of promoting Sustainable Development Goals, developing renewable energy, and applying an integrated approach to addressing global challenges. In this regard, she mentioned the master's program «Integrated water resources management» of DKU, which aims to help solve water and environmental problems and strengthen regional cooperation. Dr. Janusz-Pavletta also informed about the creation of a new master’s program «Strategic management of renewable energy and energy efficiency». In conclusion, she noted that there is a great potential for cooperation within the framework of this conference, thanked all the organizers of the event and wished fruitful work to all participants of the conference.

Alexey Kobzev, Project Manager for renewable energy and climate change at the Kazakh-German University, was one of the moderators of the session «Mechanization, electrification, agriculture and renewable energy sources». Participants discussed such issues as energy — and resource-saving structures, innovative technologies in the agro-industrial complex, automation of technological processes in irrigation systems, and others. More than 30 people took part in this session.

The reports of the conference participants will be published in the «IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering», indexed in the international database SCOPUS.

We are confident that this conference contributed to the promotion of research results, practical conclusions and developments in the field of construction in the international scientific and information space, the exchange of information and the expansion of scientific interaction.
