DKU Institute of Natural Resources took part in a series of training events «12th Central Asian Environmental Leadership Program for Sustainable Development»

On September 20, 2021, a series of training events «The 12th Central Asian Environmental Leadership Program for Sustainable Development (CAPL)» was launched, in which the DKU Institute of Natural Resources participated as the leading institution of regional projects for the transition to a green and circular economy.

The one-week training program is dedicated to promoting sustainable consumption and production for the development of a green economy and the transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient and circular economy in Central Asia and Afghanistan.

Topics of the first two workshops, where representatives of DKU NRI spoke:
— Youth leadership in Central Asia and Afghanistan in the aspect of sustainable consumption and production and overcoming the COVID-19 crisis.
— Responding to global and regional challenges of developing a green economy and the transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient and circular economy.
— Introduction to Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP).
— Switch Asia program to support sustainable consumption and production in South Asia, Southeast Asia and Central Asia (resource efficiency in 7 production areas).

The event was attended by:
— Dr. Barbara Janusz-Pavletta, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of DKU NRI;
— Dr. Yerbolat Orazbekuly, Coordinator of environmental projects of DKU NRI.
