Competition for land restoration in the Aral Sea region

The competition for land restoration in the Aral Sea region started in August 2020. At the moment, 24 finalists are being trained to present their projects at the Competition Week, which will be held in April 2021.

It is here that the names of the winners will be announced, who will receive

— - participation in the mentoring program.

The project is implemented with the support of the Water and Energy Program for Central Asia (CAWEP), under the leadership of the World Bank, funded by the European Union, Switzerland and The United Kingdom, and is also part of the World Bank's Central Asia Program for the RESILAND CA+Sustainable Landscape. The project is being implemented by the Kazakh-German University (DKU) in partnership with the Global Landscape Forum (GLF) and Plug and Play (P&P).
