A unique Open Day with the participation of professors from Germany took place on April 17, 2021 at DKU

The participants of the online meeting were addressed by the management of the university, lecturers from Germany and Kazakhstan, graduates and students of the Kazakh-German University.

The event started with the announcement of the program by Natalia Broslavskaya, Head of the Department of Internal and External Communications at DKU.

The welcoming speech was delivered by Prof. Gabriela Stauner, DKU President.

Then, the floor was given to Dr. Barbara Janusz-Pavletta, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and DKU project in Germany and Dr. Heinz Peter-Heller, DKU Project Manager in Germany. They told us about the University activities, opportunities for studying in Germany and cooperation with partner universities.

Within the framework of the Open Day, various issues on admission, scholarships, preparatory courses and career opportunities for graduates were addressed by representatives of the University structural divisions:

-Admission committee, Ms. Dinara Tyulyubaeva;

-Department of International Relations and Academic Mobility, Ms. Yelena Asmus;

-Center for Pre-university and Vocational Training, Ms. Tatiana Kruglik;

-Department of Social Work and Career, Nailya Saniyazova.

Master classes were delivered by our professors from Germany, graduates and Double Diploma program students to acquaint participants of the Open Day with the University.

-Professor Sebastian Mayer shared information about himself and his scientific interests, spoke about studying a bachelor’s degree in International Relations.

-Professor Bodo Lohmann delivered a master class on «The Race for Leadership: The electric car as a breakthrough innovation project».

-Professor Anzelm Fabig spoke about the Telematics program and conducted a video tour of the campus of the University of Wildau in Germany.

Our graduates Kirill Lambakshev, Nadira Mukhamedzhan and Sanjar Berdali told about themselves, about their experience of study at DKU, their work/projects and answered questions.

Our students, who are currently studying under the Double Degree program in Germany, joined the section of the International Office by Ms. Yelena Asmus and DKU Project manager in Germany Ms. Valeria Schaefer also took part. They told about their current experience of studying in Germany.
