A training for civil servants was held in Bishkek.

A training for civil servants on the topic «NEXUS assessment: interaction of water, energy, food and ecosystem resources» was held in Bishkek.

The training was organized by the Kazakh-German University with the support of the USAID regional project on water resources and the environment.

The training was attended by 30 representatives of government agencies from:

• Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• Ministries of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision.
• Ministry of Health.
• Ministry of Agriculture.
• Ministry of Justice.
• Ministry of Energy.
• Ministry of Emergency Situations.
• Ministry of Education and Science.
• Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
• Leading universities of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.

During the training, participants were given the opportunity to feel like managers of a simulated country and make decisions in the field of conservation of natural resources.

As a result of the training, the participants gained an understanding of the complexity of the assessment of natural resources and studied approaches to sustainable development in a changing climate.
