October 28, 2019

History is not just about events and dates-it is primarily about people. The history of our country preserves the memory of great thinkers, scientists, writers, and rulers. Who was the first historian of the Turkic world? To whom does the glory of the chronicler belong?

The article of the Leader of the nation N. A. Nazarbayev «Seven facets of the great steppe», dedicated to the history, is aimed at fostering a new Kazakh patriotism, strengthening the national code of the country, forming a sense of unity of the nation. In order to implement the tasks set, the Kazakh-German University held a round table «Great names of the great steppe». The great steppe also produced the entire pleiad of outstanding figures.

The round table was another step towards familiarizing young people with their great ancestors and contemporaries. At the round table were presented the personal stories of such figures of Kazakhstan, as:

  1. Abylai Khan
  2. Al-Farabi
  3. Dinmukhamed Kunaev
  4. Shokan Ualikhanov
  5. Abai Qunanbaiuly
  6. Amre Kashaubaev
