Faculty of World Politics
The faculty was established in 2004 and offers «International Relations» and «Regional Studies» programmes.
DKU has been offering bachelor programme «International Relations' since 1999.
The faculty and the Hochschule Rhein-Waal (HSRW) have been working on the preparation of a double degree program within the framework of the educational program «International Relations» since 2017. The working group (consisting of the faculty dean, leading teachers, and the DKU rector, Moskovchenko O.D.) in cooperation with the dean of the faculty of Social and Economic Sciences (Fakultät Gesellschaft und Ökonomie) Hochschule Rhein-Waal Prof. Dr. Jakob Lempp) developed a curriculum for the double degree program. Students, who entered the university in 2019, are studying according to the new curriculum. It is planned that these students will be able to study at the Hochschule Rhein-Waal in 2022−2023 academic year for the first time.
Master programme «Regional Studies' appeared in the framework of this faculty in 2008 and today it offers two educational programmes including Central Asia and Integrated Water Resources Management in Central Asia. The latter was developed and implemented jointly with the Free University of Berlin with the financial support of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs and DAAD (the German academic exchange service).
