Kazakh-German University launched a solar power plant with a capacity of 13 kW on the roof of the main building!
The project was realized thanks to the cooperation of DKU with Helio Solar and Photomate companies. The solar power plant will not only provide our university with clean energy, but will also serve as an interactive laboratory for undergraduate and graduate students.
In early December, representatives of the companies presented the project at the university, talked about the installed equipment and the principles of solar power plants, their types and purpose. According to the representatives of the companies, the solar power plant will allow the university to replace traditional energy sources and cover up to 20% of the university's demand for electricity.
The event was attended by master students of specialties "Strategic Management of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency", "Integrated Water Resources Management" and undergraduate students of DKU.
