About the program

Within the framework of the program "Double Diploma" our students have an opportunity to study in Germany for a year. At the end of the program the graduate receives two diplomas - German and Kazakh.

A good knowledge of the German language and a high level of academic performance in all subjects are required for participation.

University of Applied Sciences Hamburg

The Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften Hamburg (Hamburg University of Applied Sciences) is one of the largest of its kind in Germany, and four faculties offer a wide range of bachelor's and master's degree programs in engineering, information technology, life sciences, design and media, as well as business and social sciences.

Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau

Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau is located in the suburbs of Berlin, in the federal state of Brandenburg. TH Wildau was officially opened in 1991, but its history goes back to 1949, the year the Wildau Engineering School was founded, focused on heavy engineering. 

University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden

The University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden is located in the federal state of Thuringia. The University provides a wide range of education and research within five faculties: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Business and Economics and Business Law.

University of Applied Sciences Mittweida

Mittweida University of Applied Sciences offers its almost 7000 students more than 50 educational programs of international standard. Students can get Bachelor's, Master's or diploma degrees from 5 faculties. The University is proud of its 150-year history, with almost 80,000 graduates from more than 40 countries.

University of Applied Science Zittau/Görlitz

The University of Applied Science Zittau/Görlitz is located in the city of Zittau, in eastern Germany near the border with the Czech Republic and Poland. The university has about 3,000 students and 110 professors and associate professors. The University offers more than 40 bachelor's, diploma and master's degree programs in engineering, natural sciences, social sciences and economics.

Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences

The Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is located in the city of Kleve, it opened in 2009. The University currently offers 25 bachelor's degree programs and 11 master's degree programs in four faculties. The University's programs cover a wide range of topics from natural sciences, economics, engineering and technology, humanities, social sciences and medical sciences.

Free University of Berlin

Free University of Berlin is a public university located in West Berlin. It was founded in 1948. Now the Free University of Berlin is the largest of the four Berlin universities. About 35,000 students study at the university, of which about 20% are foreigners.

Technichal University Darmstadt

Technische Universität Darmstadt (Technical University of Darmstadt), founded in 1877, is the first educational institution in the world to teach electrical engineering as a separate discipline. Today the university is among the elite universities and nine leading technical schools in Germany, why it enjoys active financial support from the state.

Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg

The Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg (Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg =OvGU) is located in Magdeburg, Germany. 

The OvGU has joint activities with the European University Association (EUA), Hochschulrektorenkonferenz (HRK).

Otto von Guericke University is among the youngest German universities.

Selection procedure

How do I enroll in the Dual Diploma Program?

In order to be admitted to the program, you have to pass a competitive selection process consisting of three stages:

  • TestDaF German language test.
  • Application form:- Lebenslauf / resume in German;- Motivationsschreiben / motivation letter in German;- copy of TestDaF certificate.
  • Selection stage. The winners are selected by a special committee, which includes the management of DKU and representatives of partner universities and the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD.

Participation in the program is free of charge. Students are provided with a scholarship to study at a partner university in Germany.
