The modern world is at the stage of deep transformations characterized not only by changes but also by instability. In this regard, the strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation and trusting, partner relations between the states of Central Asia and the People's Republic of China, which are good neighbors and partners, is of particular importance. In 2022, the heads of Central Asia and China announced the establishment of a community of common destiny. As a result, the strategic interaction between our countries has reached a new level. The trade turnover between the countries of the region and China reached a record level of $70.2 billion last year. China's direct investment in Central Asia amounted to $15 billion.
We hope that the upcoming summit "Central Asia - China" in Xi'an in May this year will make a significant contribution to further strengthening of strategic partnership, mutually beneficial cooperation and friendship between our countries.
The event will be held in a combined format: offline with a limited number of participants and online on the ZOOM platform.
