Regional Competition for research posters and policy briefs

The Center for Natural Resources and Sustainable Development at the Kazakh-German University (DKU) announces the opening of submissions for a Regional Competition for research posters and policy briefs, organized as part of the Erasmus+ HWCA project, supported by the European Union.

The competition aims to develop practical skills in scientific and policy communication, as well as the ability to present research findings in the fields of water resources, climate change, and sustainable development in a clear and structured manner.

Participants may choose one of the following formats:

  • research poster
  • policy brief

The competition includes a series of training and mentoring sessions featuring regional and international experts, covering topics such as poster preparation, policy brief writing, and effective research communication.

Who can participate (from Central Asia):

  • students (master’s, PhD)
  • faculty and researchers
  • young professionals

Participation format: team-based (student/young professional + academic advisor)

  • Application deadline: April 28, 2026
  • Format: online
  • Language: Russian, English

The final stage (Demo Day) will take place on June 5, 2026, where selected teams will present their work to an expert jury.

🏆 The top participants will have the opportunity to attend the Aral Summer School or the Training of Trainers (ToT) program, as well as present their research at the annual international conference “Silk Road of Knowledge.”

📜 All finalists will receive certificates.
