On February 13, 2023, the President of the Kazakh-German University, Professor Rommel Volrad and the President of Yessenov University Akhmetov Berik held an official meeting at Yessenov University on the topic "Kazakh-German cooperation on engineering for sustainable development of Mangystau region".
The meeting was attended by DKU: Vice President for International Cooperation Janusz-Pavletta B., Associate Professor of DAAD in the field of energy and environmental engineering Dilfer Sh., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology Kegenbekov Zh. and others.
During the meeting, the parties confirmed their confidence that in the near future, with the support of the Kazakh-German University and partners from Germany, the Mangystau School of Sustainable Engineering will open on the basis of Yessenov University. This major international project should become the basis for the development of the hydrogen industry in the Mangystau region, which by 2028 will lead to the export of green hydrogen from Western Kazakhstan to Western Europe, along the Trans-Caspian corridor. The main business partner of the project is the German-Swedish SVEVIND group of companies.
