As already reported, on the initiative of the Kazakh-German University in Aktau, a German Engineering Institute will be established on the basis of Esenov University, where highly qualified specialists-engineers will be trained according to German educational standards.
Already this year, the German Engineering Institute plans to start training on bachelor's degree programs "Logistics" and "Energy and Environmental Engineering".
From March 27 to April 1, a delegation consisting of the President of the Kazakh-German University Dr. Volrada Rommel and President of Esenov University B.B. Akhmetov is on a working visit to Germany to discuss cooperation between the German Engineering Institute and German universities.
A memorandum of cooperation was signed with Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, as well as agreements with the University of Anhalt (Hochschule Anhalt) and the Technical University of Wildau (Technische Hochschule Wildau).
The cooperation agreement with these leading technical universities of Germany will allow the introduction of German educational standards in the new institute, as well as a wide range of opportunities in the field of exchange of experience, inviting German professors in Aktau and the introduction of a double degree program.
It is also planned to hold negotiations of the presidents of the Kazakh-German University and Esenov University with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany to support the work of the new institute and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
