On October 8, Dr. Heike Renate Peitsch, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited the Kazakh-German University (DKU).
As part of the visit, the Ambassador met with DKU President Professor Wolrad Rommel. The meeting was also attended by the university’s Vice President, Askhat Zhylkaidarov, and Head of the Partnership Development Department, Arystanbek Kurmangaliyev.
The parties discussed prospects for Kazakh-Germany cooperation in higher education, science, and cultural exchange, as well as opportunities to implement joint research projects and expand academic ties.
The Kazakh-German University plays an important role in strengthening the partnership between the two countries by promoting international cooperation and educating specialists drawing on the academic experience of Kazakhstan and Germany.
The visit marked another step towards strengthening bilateral ties in education and science.
