The Kazakh-German University (DKU) and the US Mission in Kazakhstan are pleased to announce the holding of a 5-day training course on the Transition to Clean Energy, developed for Kazakhstani universities.
We invite all interested parties to take part in the training in Almaty!
Training dates: February 27 — March 3, 2023.
Venue: Almaty, DKU, 173 Nazarbayev Street.
The deadline for submitting applications for participation is February 15, 2023.
Language: English and Russian (simultaneous translation).
Important note! There is no payment for participation. Travel/accommodation to/in Almaty is not paid.
Who can apply?
Students in the fields of energy, renewable energy, ecology, urban planning and other relevant programs from universities in Kazakhstan. Representatives of environmental and educational NGOs in Kazakhstan. We also invite teachers and young researchers from these fields to participate. The course program includes:
Energy — poverty — development; The political economy of energy; Energy and the environment; Clean energy technologies; Political, institutional and financial aspects of the transition to clean energy; Discussion of case studies; Visiting laboratories and facilities for renewable energy/energy in Almaty universities. A detailed course schedule will be provided shortly.
