On February 2, 2023, students of the 3rd year of the OP "Energy and Environmental Engineering", accompanied by German Professor Falk Bayer, visited the AlES CHPP-1 named after B. Orazbayev.
The purpose of AlES TPP-1 is the generation of thermal and electric energy for the needs of the southern capital of Kazakhstan.
Currently, AlES TPP-1 is part of the largest district heating supply zone in Almaty - the heating zone and provides heat together with AlES TPP-2 and boiler houses of the Western Thermal Complex to consumers in the central part of Almaty (about 40% of the total heat load of the city).
