According to the research agency International Data Corporation, by 2020, 60% of enterprises will have developed and started implementing strategies for transition to the digital economy. This means that highly qualified IT specialists will be in demand in the labor market as never before.

Within the framework of the specialty "Information Systems" at DKU three educational programs are implemented according to European standards:

1) "Information Engineering in Economics";

2) "Telematics";

3) "Mobile computing".

DKU closely cooperates with the leading universities of Germany: University of Applied Sciences of Schmalkalden and Technical University of Applied Sciences of Wildau. This provides us with leading positions in the market of IT-education in Kazakhstan.

We have something to be proud of! Since October 7, 2013 DKU became an official partner of Cisco and is the first Cisco Networking Academy functioning in Kazakhstan. Since April 17, 2014 DKU has become an official partner of Oracle and is the first Oracle Academy.

Educational program "Telematics"

The term "telematics" is a derivation of two Greek words: "tele" - distant and "matikos" - moving. Simply put, telematics is the remote control of IT processes. The main principle of telematics is virtualization and intellectualization of business process management in various spheres. This is quite a young profession, but a telematics specialist will be an indispensable part of any enterprise in the future. It is he who controls the collection, use and transmission of large information arrays over long distances, the integration of individual technical components into a single information system, and its management.
