«After less than a year in office, a majority of Germans say they are dissatisfied with the new government. Is this just the usual reflex of many citizens to criticize those in power, regardless of who is governing? Or is it a sign of a loss of legitimacy and eroding trust in state institutions in Germany? This lecture attempts to take stock of the work of the government under Chancellor Friedrich Merz. What has been successful? What has failed? And how might things proceed from here?»
