CALL FOR PAPERS

The Institute of Language Training and Certification (ILTC) at Deutsch-Kasachische Universität (DKU) is excited to announce the 7-th Annual Conference: Innovative Approaches to Teaching English: Bridging Traditional Methods and Modern Technology which will take place online on May 27, 2026, where you are invited to submit a paper. The Conference welcomes speakers to deliver presentations or workshops.

Our goal is to bring together experts, researchers and practitioners from Kazakhstan and other countries to discuss current trends in teaching languages. DKU is an innovative university enrolling students from different countries. Striving to further internationalize our education, we place great importance on teaching foreign languages.

Below are the themes to be covered at the Conference:

• The balance between classical teaching methods and digital tools (AI, gamification, VR/AR);
• Strategies for increasing student engagement and motivation;
• Adapting lessons for diverse lessons (EFL vs ESL, different proficiency levels);
• The role of soft skills in language learning (critical thinking, creativity, cultural awareness)
• Entrepreneurship and science
• Inclusive Education

Participation formats

1. PAPER/WORKSHOP DELIVERY. You will need to indicate your intention TO SUBMIT YOUR PAPER by filling in this form: https://forms.gle/YtS7ivfBHvUVqT4n8 by May 10, 2026. Please, be informed, that the Organizing Committee reserves the right to choose presentation and workshop papers. You will be notified whether your paper is accepted or not by May 20, 2026.
2. ATTENDANCE WITHOUT PAPER/WORKSHOP. It is possible to attend the Conference without delivering a presentation or a workshop, by registering: https://forms.gle/3URZ3TUNfhe3cy6n6 .

The language of the conference is English and participation is free. The conference sessions will be held on the Zoom platform.

Further details will be provided later to the speakers after the decision for acceptance is made. IMPORTANT DATES:

• Intent to Submit: May 10, 2026
• Notification of Acceptance: May 20, 2026.
• Presentation Submission: May 25, 2026.
• Conference Date: May 27.2026.
