How to write a CV correctly Tips from us

We have extensive experience in the employment of young professionals. And for our students, we have developed some useful and effective tips on how to find your dream job.

The most important thing is the search strategy:

Even if you have applied to a recruitment agency, you are always simultaneously looking for a job, internship or internship on your own. In our experience, this will significantly increase the efficiency of the search.

It makes sense to use several resources at once. We have compiled a rating of online platforms for your convenience here. In addition, we recommend that you keep track of the official websites of the companies you are interested in in the "Career" section, fresh and up-to-date information about vacancies and internships is always published there. To make the task easier, you can create a list with direct links.

Speed is not the main thing. Even if the search dragged on for more than two weeks, remember that this is normal.

And perhaps our most important recommendation concerns the expansion of professional ties. Be sure to attend meetings, workshops and events related to your specialty. The more professional contacts you make, the more chances you will have for a successful career.

Resume is your business card

A resume is a potential employer's first impression of you. Spare no time and effort to make it as effective as possible. Some useful tips on creating a successful resume

  1. Write only reliable information about yourself.
  2. If you do not have any work experience that you can write about in your resume, specify the internships and internships that you completed during your studies. Describe this point in detail: in which company and when you interned, what duties you performed and what you learned. This information will demonstrate your skills and abilities.
  3. Tell us about your social activities. Describe your work experience in the student union, the Student Council at the university, city or district youth associations, or volunteer work experience. Be sure to indicate which qualities that are useful to your employer you have acquired in the process: the ability to work in a team, initiative, the ability to make decisions and be responsible for them, generate and implement ideas, control processes, plan, make reports. It is a myth that during the training we do not gain experience, the main thing is to submit it correctly.
  4. Pay attention to the spelling and formatting of the document. Sometimes, a small mistake can spoil the impression of you.

A cover letter is your opportunity to stand out among the many applicants and present yourself as a strong and interested candidate. To make it according to all the rules, we suggest using our tips:

  1. The text of the letter should be clear, clear and concise. In the structure, try to adhere to the rule of "three parts/sections". Your letter should not be too long, there is a risk that it will not be read to the end. But you should not limit yourself to two phrases. The optimal size is half of an A4 sheet;
  2. Make sure that the letter reflects your enthusiasm, interest and motivation. A good letter always explains why you want to get into the company for the specified position;
  3. It is a big mistake to copy your resume in the cover letter. It is better to focus on significant achievements and projects;
  4. Spelling and punctuation should be perfect! You don't want to be considered an illiterate candidate.
